Celebrity Game Night will be hosted by Liza Tarbuck

Susan Calman and Danny Baker are to be team captains on a new Channel 5 game show.

Celebrity Game Night will be hosted by radio presenter and Upstart Crow actor Liza Tarbuck, and feature a selection of parlour games.

The captains will be joined by celebrity guests in rounds that test ‘pop culture knowledge, acting skills and nerves of steel’.

It is based on the US show, Hollywood Game Night, which has run on NBC for five series with Glee’s Jane Lynch at the helm. The format was originally devised by Will and Grace star Sean Hayes and producer Todd Milliner.

Six hour-long episodes will air early next year, and will be filmed in  Elstree in Hertfordshire later this month.
