Sky's Comedy Legends gets a second series
Sky has acquired a second series of Comedy Legends documentaries before the first has even aired, Chortle can reveal.
Fronted by Barry Cryer, the first series will air on Sky Arts from Wednesday October 10, kicking off with an episode dedicated to Tommy Cooper.
Production will then start on the second batch of episodes in the spring.
The full list of episodes in the first series is
1. Tommy Cooper
3. Joan Rivers
5. Bob Hope
6. Jack Benny
7. George Burns
8. Morecambe & Wise
Chortle understands the second series will feature a greater number of female artists including Lucille Ball, Lily Tomlin, Madeline Kahn and Phyliss Diller – as well as Kenny Everett, with whom Cryer enjoyed a long working relationship.
In each episode, the comedy veteran will share his personal recollections of working with the stars, alongside contributions from the likes of Tony Hawks, Clive Anderson, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Steve Punt and Sunday Times comedy critic Stephen Armstrong.

Sky Arts has recently started screening the second series of History Of Comedy, originally made for US broadcaster CNN, too.
