Vic Reeves' artwork goes on display

Caricatures, landmarks and wildlife

Here are some comedians as you’ve never seen them before – as sketched by Vic Reeves.

Several self portraits and a single work comprising Sarah Millican, Peter Kay, Michael McIntyre and Robin Askwith, star of the 1970s Confessions Of… sex comedies are part of a substantial exhibition of the comic’s work going on display in London today.

Shown under his real name, 200 Drawings By Jim Moir, will be at the Grosvenor Gallery in St. James's until October 1.

Many are caricatures of celebrities, from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Arthur Negus, David Bowie to Big Daddy and Audrey Hepburn to Oprah Winfrey.

There are also landmarks, images from nature, and some of his own surreal imaginings.

Moir says of his art: ‘I think putting your imagination on canvas or a television screen is the same thing. If you've got an idea you have got to have an outlet for it. So if it's painting, poetry, singing or acting it all comes out somewhere.’

The pieces are for sale, each priced £250 framed. Click here for more information.
