Vandal admits defacing tributes to murdered comedian Eurydice Dixon

An ‘anti-feminist’ who admitted defacing a memorial to murdered comedian Eurydice Dixon has been ordered to pay around £10,000.

But Andrew Nolch will not face jail after painting an 80ft penis on the ground next to floral tributes left at the Melbourne park where the 22-year-old was raped and killed in June, after making her way home from a stand-up gig.

Nolch, 29, told magistrates he had defaced the memorial to annoy feminists and to make the news.

He reportedly says he now fears for his own safety after achieving his aim of attracting the media’s attention.

Nolch, who once dabbled in stand-up himself, is not remorseful for drawing the graffiti, according to his own defence lawyer.

He was ordered to pay the costs of cleaning up his vandalism and will be assessed for a community service sentence, local media report.
