Ex-partners trade insults in a new Roast Battle series
Jessie Cave will trade insults with her former boyfriend Alfie Brown in the next series of Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.
The comedians dated for three years after a one-night stand resulted in Cave getting pregnant,
Their son, Donnie, was born in October 2014, and they went on to have a daughter, Margot in July 2016 but split up when when she was only ten weeks old.
The couple – who speak about each other in their stand-up sets – remain close as they bring up their children.
In an interview earlier this summer Cave – who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movies - said: ‘Splitting up was quite intense... I guess it is still quite intense.’
But she added: ‘Alfie and I have an amazing relationship. It’s not conventional by any stretch, but it works for us.’
The new series of Roast Battle – due to air in October – will also feature real-life couple Sarah Keyworth and Catherine Bohart verbally attacking each other, after partners Bobby Mair and Harriet Kemsley did the same last series.
The other battles in the new series are
- Chris Ramsey v Tom Rosenthal
- Matt Richardson v Angela Barnes
- Alex Brooker v Rosie Jones
- Rose Matafeo v Naz Osmanoglu
- Phil Wang v Daniel Sloss
- Stephen Bailey v Darren Harriott
- Fern Brady v Ivo Graham
- Mark Watson v Andrew Maxwell
