Russell Brand has signed a deal to release his current tour, Re:Birth, as a Netflix special.

He is recording two shows at the Hackney Empire in East London in on April 18 and 19, the best of which will be released via the on-demand service.

The show is about him becoming a father, looking back at the mistakes he has made in his life and wondering how he will bring up his daughter (Review)

Brand becomes the eighth UK-based comic to land a Netflix special and the sixth after Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, Jack Whitehall, Russell Howard and Ricky Gervais to secure an international release.

His documentary about his drug dependency, From Addiction to Recovery, is already available via the on-demand service.
