Rob Rouse joins Radio Sheffield
Rob Rouse is joining BBC Radio Sheffield.
The comic, who lives in nearby North Derbyshire, is to take over the two-hour Sunday morning show from 10am.
The Rob Rouse Roadshow will be on location in different parts of the region each week and will be mix of interviews, music and comedy.
Rouse – recently seen in Upstart Crow alongside David Mitchell – said that the station’s catchment area ‘is full of interesting places and great local characters; it will be a joy to discover and find out more about them in the coming weeks.’
His first show will be this Sunday from the Elsecar Heritage Centre, a living museum.
Katrina Bunker, managing editor of BBC Radio Sheffield, said: ‘Rob will be a fantastic addition to our schedule bringing fun, character, laughter and a few surprises.’
Radio Sheffield is already host to comic Toby Foster, who presents the weekday breakfast show.
