Great Lives: Andy Kaufman
Iain Lee champions the comic and ultimate prankster in the latest episode of Radio 4's long-running biographical series. He believes Kaufman was a genius, while Matthew Parris draws his own conclusions about the comedian's extraordinary life, from Elvis impersonator to unlikely primetime sitcom star to intergender wrestler. The only problem is the lack of copyright-cleared clips of Kaufman's extraordinary body of work. Listen here
F is For Family
Bill Burr's 1970s-set animated comedy is back for a second series, with the comic playing a browbeaten suburban dad struggling to provide for his family in a life of constant disappointment. Series two starts with his character, Frank, out of work and wife Sue, played by Laura Dern becoming the breadwinner. That's the dramatic core of the show, while much of the comedy comes from the family's abrasive exchanges with each other. Watch here
Sarah Silverman: A Speck Of Dust
The controversial comic is winning plaudits for her first stand-up special in four years, for displaying a new maturity. Transgressive lines that made her name now that go beyond simple, if brutal, shock value to form part of a wider conversation, often about gender politics, in this relatively intimate performance. The Blame Game
John Bishop made his first ever TV appearance on BBC Northern Ireland panel show The Blame Game. And last night he made a return to the show, joining host Tim McGarry and panellists Colin Murphy, Jake O'Kane and Neil Delamere. Watch on iPlayer here.
