Both shows to return in 2018

Veep and Silicon Valley have both been renewed for an extra season

The shows end their sixth and fourth seasons respectively on June 25 - but broadcaster HBO will be screening new episodes in  2018.

Both shows air on Sky Atlantic in the UK.

Veep, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as former vice president and president Selina Meyer, was created by  Armando Iannucci, although he stepped down as showrunner in 2015.

Silicon Valley stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani and others as players in the high-tech world.
