Revealed: Who's on Chortle's Fast Fringe

So many comedians, so little time

Chortle can today unveil the line-up for this year’s London Fast Fringe – showcasing 28 Edinburgh-bound acts in bite-size chunks.

The event, at Leicester Square Theatre, takes place on June 25 and will again be hosted by Arthur Smith.

The eclectic range of acts on the bill include Edinburgh favourites Late Night Gimp Fight; Jonny Awsum – as seen on the current season of Britain’s Got Talent – and veteran stand-up Dominic Holland,  who is making his return to the Fringe this summer after an 11-year absence

Our showcase also features extracts from The Elvis Dead – which reinterprets the cult classic horror movie Evil Dead 2 through the songs of Elvis Presley – and Buzz! The Musical, a journey through the history of the vibrator.

Award-winning stand-ups on the bill include Carl Donnelly – returning the Fringe for his ninth solo show in as many years, former BBC New Comedy Award winner Steve Bugeja, Amused Moose Laugh Off champ Pierre Novellie,  and Rose Matefeo, who has just won the biggest award at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

South African TV star Loyiso Gola, a double act featuring World Poetry Slam champion Harry Baker and jazz musician Chris Read, and musical comics Christian Reilly and Robert White add to the variety.

The full line-up is: Christian Reilly, Alasdair Beckett-King, Caroline Mabey, Andy Field, Robert White, Olaf Falafel, Annie McGrath, Darren Harriot, Tom Houghton, Micky P Kerr, Ken Cheng, Rose Matafeo, Dominic Holland, The Elvis Dead, Buzz! The Musical, Steve Bujega, Rob Carter as Christopher Bliss, Loyiso Gola, Michael Stranney, Louise Reay, Harry & Chris, Steve Bujega, Rosie Jones, Pierre Novellie, Jonny Awsum, Carl Donnelly, Late Night Gimp Fight, MC Arthur Smith.

Each act presents a three-minute taster of their show, making for a fast-paced showcase. Tickets are available here.
