Lee Ridley seeks a new accent in Voice Of The People

BBC Three has launched a new series featuring ‘Lost Voice Guy’ comic Lee Ridley.

In the short films, the stand-up travels the country looking for a new accent for the iPad app which speaks for him.

Ridley travels to Newcastle for the first episode of Voice Of The People to see if he should adopt the Geordie accent.

He goes to a pub and a beauty parlour, and meets Geordie Shore star James Tindale at St James’s Park - then tries out his new accent on shoppers in the city centre.

Voice Of The People was made by Rumpus Media, which made Asian Provocateur with Romesh Ranganathan, An Immigrant’s Guide To Britain by Henning Wehn and Jon Richardson: How To Survive The End Of The World.

The new online show follows his Radio 4 sitcom pilot, Ability, which was secured after his victory in the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards and has now been picked up for a series.
