Kevin Bridges to perform for Barack Obama

At a charity event in Edinburgh

Barack Obama could be about to find out what an ‘empty’ is.

For Kevin Bridges is to perform for the 44th US President at a charity event in Edinburgh next month.

The comic shares the bill with Scottish musicians  Annie Lennox and Texas.

They will all be performing after a dinner on May 26, where Obama will give a keynote address, one of his first major speaking engagements since leaving the White House.

The event at the EICC is being organised by The Hunter Foundation, which encourages philanthropy to address poverty and education issues.

Billionaire Sir Tom Hunter, who founded the organisation, said: he was ‘proud, privileged and over the moon’ with the line-up, saying: ‘They are standout talents of their generation and will provide a remarkable conclusion to what we all hope will be an incredible evening.’
