Radio 4 wants more Shush!
RADIO 4 has commissioned a second series of Shush!, the library-based sitcom written by and starring Morwenna Banks and Rebecca Front. Four new episodes of the show, which also stars Ben Willbond and Michael Fenton Stevens, will be recorded in April and May.
TIM VINE is to interview Sir Ken Dodd for the final episode of the current episode of Radio 4's Chain Reaction. The programme will go out on Monday March 27, after Vine is interviewed by Harry Hill on next Monday's edition, which airs at 11.30am.
THE Dave channel has picked up 11 three-minute episodes of the animated adult comedy The Bruvs, about a family of East End criminals. Top Gear producer Ian Brown launched the series online in 2014 - though it only had limited appeal. The most popular clip on YouTube, below, has just over 5,400 views in the past two-and-a-half years:
HBO has ordered a second series of Crashing, about comedian Pete Holmes sofa-surfing in New York as he struggles to make it as a stand-up comedian. The show features famous faces such as Sarah Silverman and Hannibal Buress and is executive produced by Judd Apatow. It airs on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
BBC FOUR has confirmed the broadcast date for Brian Pern: A Tribute, the posthumous mockumentary about Simon Day's pioneering prog-rocker. The final installment in his story will air at 10pm on Wednesday March 29.
