US comic's first industry roast to be released as an album

For 20 years, Andy Kindler has roasted the American comedy industry at his annual State Of The Industry address at Montreal's Just For Laughs festival.

His talks, in which he airs his many grievances with the industry as well as bemoaning his own lack of success, have become a key insider event

Now his very first speech, from 1996, is to be released as an comedy album – testing whether decades-old beefs will stand the test of time.

Kindler himself said: 'I'm so excited about the release of my first State of the Industry speech that I forget things didn't work out for me success-wise. I look forward to my grievances and feuds from the 90's reaching a larger audience.

His most memorable gag from the event was: 'Who died and made Jim Belushi a big star?'

The speech will be released on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify and other digital audio retailers on February 17 by Comedy Dynamics Records.

Kindler has had some success, voicing Mort on Bob's Burgers and being a regular on Comedy Central's Tosh.0.
