Revealed: Who's on the next Live From The BBC
Josie Long, Sara Pascoe and Liam Williams are to feature in the second series of Live From The BBC, Chortle can reveal.
Doc Brown, John Robins and Ivo Graham have also recorded sets for the return of the stand-up showcase.
Filmed earlier this month at the Radio Theatre in London, their performances will air on BBC Three in the next few months, with a subsequent broadcast on BBC Two expected.
Twelve acts featured across six episodes in the first series last year, including James Acaster, Nish Kumar and Sofie Hagen. But Chortle understands that just the six sets will feature in the forthcoming series.
The show’s aim is to promote upcoming talent that might be unfamiliar to the general television audience, but ratings were low when the first series repeated on BBC Two, with the final episode featuring Adam Hess and Dane Baptiste attracting just 390,000 viewers when it broadcast on March 23 – although the performances were still available on iPlayer at the time.
Live From The BBC is made by Phil McIntyre Television, with Kate Daughton the BBC’s commissioning editor.
