Amy Schumer up for two Grammys
Amy Schumer is up for two Grammy awards.
Her stand-up album Live At The Apollo has been nominated for the comedy album of the year - while her autobiography, The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo, is shortlisted in the spoken word category.
The other albums shortlisted in the comedy category are:
David Cross: Make America Great Again (released by his amusingly named Liberal Jewrun Media Productions)
Margaret Cho’s American Myth
Tig Notato’s Boyish Girl Interrupted
Patton Oswalt’s Talking For Clapping.
Oswalt cheekily tweeted: ‘Dear #Grammy voters: The fact that @margaretcho runs a dog fighting ring should not influence your voting.’
The awards will be given out on February 12 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles in a ceremony broadcast on CBS.
It will be hosted by James Corden, who previously said: 'It's the biggest, most prestigious award show in music and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.’
