Amy Schumer suddenly pulls Australian dates
Amy Schumer has cancelled her Australian and New Zealand stand-up tour at the last minute.
Promoters Live Nation said the dates had been pulled due to an undisclosed illness.
She was due to perform a string of shows starting this Saturday at Perth Arena, and taking in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Aukland, too.
A statement has been issued saying: ‘Live Nation regret to announce that Amy Schumer’s December tour dates will not go ahead due to illness.
‘"Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical.’
Schumer played a gig in San Diego, California, on Saturday, with no reports of her appearing ill, although she was interrupted by some hecklers.
Tickets for the antipodean dates will be refunded, but the news will be disappointing for fans.
