LIVE IN LONDON: Absolute Radio are promoting a big benefit show at the London Palladium in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, hosted by their own Christian O'Connell and featuring  :Al Murray, Mark Watson, Tom Allen and Zoe Lyons.

LIVE IN LONDON: At the other end of the scale, new acts will be competing for the Leicester Square Theatre Comedian Of The Year title at … well, you can probably guess the venue. Fighting it out will be   Danny Clives, Jake Baker, Joby Mageean, Lauren Pattison, Lulu Popplewell, Micky Overman, Neil O'Rourke, Olga Koch, Patrick McCabe, Peter Bazely, Radu Isac, Lewis Dunn as Stanley Brooks - and Richard Herring hosts.

LIVE IN LONDON: Hotly-tipped character comedian Lolly Adefope picked up a fresh batch of critical acclaim for her sophomore solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer (including our review here).  Now she lands at the Soho Theatre for a week-long run.

Tuesday November 29

LIVE IN WAKEFIELD  The Stand up for Labour tour swings into town, with lefties Francesca Martinez, Jeremy Hardy, Norman Lovett and Tiernan Douieb showing their support for Jeremy Corby at the   Unity Works, along with musicians and poets..

TV: We Have Been Watching, Gold's new Gogglebox-style show in which celebs watch clips from classic  comedies, launches properly next year. But this Christmas special introduces the series,  with the likes of John Challis and Sue Holderness from Only Fools and Horses; Ricky Tomlinson and Ralf Little from The Royle Family and Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani from Him And Her watching some festive specials. 8pm

LIVE IN LONDON: Browbeaten poet Tim Key is the main draw at Knock2Bag at Hackney's Moth Club, along with Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Richard Gadd, lively provocateur Fin Taylor  and more.

Thursday December 1

LIVE IN YORK: It's a winning bill at the Winning Post as Sitting Room Comedy presents sardonic commentator Paul Sinha, silly Adam Hess and angry young man Rob Mulholland, all compered by super-camp Jonathan Mayor.

LIVE IN LIVERPOOL: Pun king Gary Delaney joins veteran Mick Miller - whose Noddy routine is an all-time classic - and cheeky TanyaLee Davis for a great weekend at the Slaughter House.
