Something's afoot with Seann Walsh
Seann Walsh has been forced to cancel a gig tonight, after his foot mysteriously swelled up, leaving him in agony.
The comic said he was ‘in so much pain’ from the illness, which left doctors baffled.
It struck suddenly yesterday as he took the train from London to his show in Hull. He performed that gig through the pain but has pulled tonight’s performance in Swindon.
Walsh kept his fans informed through a series of tweets, starting with: ‘On train to Hull. My foot suddenly and rapidly started to swell. I'm in so much pain BUT the show must go on (in a chair). I can't stand.’
He needed to take a wheelchair from the train, and thanked Hull Trains staff for their help ‘when I was having a panic attack over my messed up weird XXL foot’.
Walsh went to A&E after the gig, and reported back: ‘Still in agony and don't really know what the problem is’. And when he felt no better today, he cancelled the show at Swindon Arts Centre.
In a statement the venue said the performance had been postponed due to ill health, adding: ‘We will be contacting all ticket holders as soon as possible, and apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused.’
And Walsh himself promised to rearrange the show.
The next scheduled gig in his One For The Road tour is at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday.
