RICHARD HERRING’s Happy Now? stand-up DVD has been released on independent label Go Faster Stripe today. You can buy it here, where there is also a clip from the show. The show, about whether he had found contentment now he is married and a father, is priced £15, or £5 as a download.

MRS BROWN’s BOYS has added three extra dates to its 2017 arena tour – Birmingham Genting Arena on April 5, Manchester Arena on April 12 and the  O2 in London on July 5. Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 9am on Friday.

ALASTAIR CAMPBELL is to guest on a Christmas edition of Matt Forde’s Political Party at London’s Leicester Square Theatre on December 15. Ed Balls, fresh from his appearances on Strictly Come Dancing, will also be on the show.

THE GLASGOW Comedy Festival has signed a new sponsorship deal with Glasgow Live, the website owned by Daily Mirror and Daily Record owner MGN. Next year’s event runs from March 9 to 26 with acts including Jimmy Carr, Al Murray, Stewart Lee, Russell Howard and Sue Perkins.

…AND the Bath Comedy Festival has secured a £15,000 Arts Centre grant to help with marketing, including banners and street decorations.
