Danny Baker IS joining I'm A Celeb...
Danny Baker is set to enter the I'm A Celebrity jungle – despite his earlier protestations.
The writer and radio presenter was named as one of the contestants before the show launched but poo-poohed the idea.
'Sitting here seeing I am going in the Jungle next week,' he tweeted: 'Chums, the very idea is preposterous. And to people I'm now working with: calm down.'
And he said: 'To be fair, I did have talks with #IACGMOOH this year but when I said my luxury item had to be a case of white wine the fuckers backed out.
However Baker – who recently announced his first stand-up tour for next year – has now arrived in Australia, where he has been photographed with a kangaroo and a koala. Of course.
He arrived with Martin Roberts, the host of Homes Under The Hammer. Both are expected to be introduced to the camp tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, tabloids have been stoking up the idea of a possible romance between comedian Joel Dommett, 30, and the only other single contestant, Carol Vorderman, 55, after the pair flirted on the show. Dommett also showed off his buff torso in the famous jungle shower.
Baker's other joke tweets making light of the stories he was heading to the show include:
Ok, you got me. Here I am in Australia. #JungleBoy pic.twitter.com/wmjWhAYoge
