Which comedians are on Michael McIntyre's Big Show
Michael McIntyre has revealed some the comedians who will be appearing on the new series of his Big Show.
They will range from Ricky Gervais, who will be appearing as David Brent, to the lesser-known Al Porter, whose rising star will get another boost from the primetime exposure.
Also taking part over the six-part series are Russell Howard, Sarah Millican and Jack Whitehall.
McIntyre said he’s excited by the dynamic of hosting an entertainment show rather than doing stand-up.
He siad: ‘ I do stand up in every show but I am interested and excited by entertainment television. I’m new to it and what’s really surprised me, because we record the show in a theatre, is how big the laughs are. The atmosphere has been amazing; almost annoyingly as I think I can’t really get laughs like this with my jokes! So much of the comedy that comes out the show is natural to the situation, so it works really well.
The show returns to BBC One for a six-part series at 8.10pm this Saturday, and musical guests over the series include Ellie Goulding, One Republic, Sting and Olly Murs
