Stephen Fry's US comedy is extended
Stephen Fry’s American sitcom has been extended.
The CBS network has ordered six extra episodes of The Great Indoors, in which the former QI host plays the founder of an outdoors adventure magazine.
Today’s order brings the run up to 19 episodes, slightly shorter than the usual 22 as it started late in the season.
The show has attracted an average of 8.2million viewers over its first three episodes, a solid performance in its Thursday night slot. However it does inherit 14million viewers from the Big Bang Theory which precedes it.
Critics have been more lukewarm about the show, which stars Joel McHale stars as a globe-trotting adventurer now in charge of a group of bored and precious millennials in the digital publishing department. Read our review here.
