Jon Stewart's banned - but Hitler's OK
• They clearly have very precocious children in Canterbury, if this page from the Marlowe Theatre's website is to be believed…
• Meanwhile, Lee has paid tribute to London alternative venue and promoter Invisible Dot, following its financial collapse. 'It seems entirely appropriate, in the current political climate, that it should close,' he told the Islington Gazette, 'representing as it did a space for diversity, creativity and big open-minded ideas, all dirty words post-Brexit.'
• Lorraine Kelly managed to stuff up the name of Sky 1 sitcom Trollied when its star Stephen Tompkinson appeared on her ITV show this morning. The presenter gushed about her 'love' for his 'silly' sitcom – which was only slightly spoiled by her calling it 'Trollies'. When Tomkinson corrected her, she just giggled - so it's unclear if she was even sure of her gaffe:
• Citizen Khan had to change its recording schedule... because of Steven Spielberg. Producers asked to close a Birmingham street for filming, and told they couldn't as another production had got in first. 'We were thinking "Don't you know who we are? We're the BBC!" creator Adil Ray told the Birmingham Mail. 'We thought it would be a small music video and they could wait for us. • Want to walk in Ricky Gervais's shoes? Now you can literally as he has donated a pair of black Marks and Spencer Airflex lace-ups – as worn in David Brent: Life On The Road – to be auctioned off for the Small Steps Project, which helps children and others who live on waste dumps around the world. And as you're dying to know: he's a size 8. Bidding here currently stands at £600.
• And if you're wondering why Stewart's book was banned by the Texas penal system it's because it contains mocked-up nude photos of the Supreme Court justices, and invites readers to cut out robes and 'restore their dignity' – and nudity's a strict no-no. Other books that prisoners CAN read are David Duke's antisemitic Jewish Supremacism or the Nazi Aryan Youth Primer: Official Handbook for Schooling the Hitler Youth.
