Channel 4 orders two extra episodes

Spoof Royal soap opera The Windsors is to return for two Christmas specials.

The episodes will revolve around the family’s annual festive celebrations at Sandringham and come ahead of a second run of six episodes commissioned for Channel 4 for next year.

The programme’s ensemble cast includes Harry Enfield as Prince Charles, Haydn Gwynne as Camilla, Morgana Robinson as Pippa, Louise Ford as Kate, Hugh Skinner as William, Richard Goulding as Harry and Katy Wix as Fergie. 

The storyline of the specials – written by Star Stories co-creators Bert Tyler-Moore and George Jeffrie –  will feature a ‘battle for Christmas’ between Kate and Camilla, and Beatrice and Eugenie recording a single: Daddy Come Home for Christmas.

Filming on the Christmas specials will kick off next month.
