A tight 5: September 14

Tim Minchin is to be the guest at an 'in conversation with...' event in central London this Friday, it has just been announced. The comedian and composer will be speaking to theatre journalist Mark Shenton at the Coq-tails and Conversations event at the Zédel Brasserie. It comes as his musical version of Groundhog Day has just been confirmed for a Broadway transfer.  

THE guests for the next episode of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown have been announced. Playing on the episode which airs on Channel 4 on September 24 are David Walliams and Jonathan Ross against Jon Richardson and Joe Lycett, with Isy Suttie in dictionary corner.

LUISA OMIELAN is to host a monthly comedy-and-clubbing residency at new Shoreditch bar, Old St. Records, featuring capital DJ Kat Shoob and a guest circuit comic. The first of the Fresh nights, in which she road-tests new material, will be on October 11.

JENNY ECLAIR has announced a gig at London's Royal Festival Hall on November 21, as part of her current UK tour How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane).
