As Rufus Hound joins the cast

Sky 1 has  commissioned a sixth series of Trollied – with Rufus Hound joining the cast.

He will play ‘an intolerable new food rep’ called Duncan Trench who clashes with area manager over a ‘war on sugar’. 

Also joining the fantastic cast is former Coronation Street and Strictly star Georgia  May Foote, who plays the unstable Holly, one side of a love triangle.

Eight more half-hour episodes of the supermarket sitcom have been ordered, bringing the total up to 61 , since its launch in 2011.

The new episodes, which star Bafta-winners Jason Watkins and Chanel Cresswell, will air later this year.

Sky’s head of comedy Jon Mountague said: ‘The popularity of our long-running comedy is testament to its quality and production. There are some terrific additions to the cast as well as our old favourites.

The series was created by Anne Marie O'Connor, Ash Atalla and Paul Doolan and is made by Roughcut TV.
