Radio 4 show for Jake Yapp
Jake Yapp is to record a Radio 4 show.
The pilot episode of Jake Yapp Saves All Of Humanity In 28 Minutes will tackle TV advertising, one of the strands of his current Edinburgh show.
It will be taped in front of a studio audience in London next month – see the BBC website/a> for free tickets.
The Corporation says of the show: 'It is a little ambitious but he's going to try and save the human race from its own self-imposed ills using only the power of stand-up and sketch comedy.'
Yapp is best known for his appearances on Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe, where he boils down TV shows into brisk summaries using thumbnail impersonations.
And here he is distilling the Edinburgh festival into three minutes at Chortle's Fast Fringe.
The BBC has also released free audience tickets for the next series of Radio 4 Extra's award-wining topical show Newsjack, hosted by Nish Kumar, which returns for a new six-part series next month. Apply here.
