Oh brother! Siblings is cancelled
BBC Three has dropped Siblings after two series.
Star Tom Stourton broke the news on his Twitter feed, saying: ‘Ah bummer. Siblings cancelled. Thanks lots to all of you that tuned in before.’
Co-star Charlotte Ritchie – also of Fresh Meat and Call The Midwife fame – added: ‘Very sad, so proud and so glad to work with such incredible people.’
The pair played a chaotic twentysomething brother and sister sharing a flat in London, both trying to escape any responsibilities.
Siblings launched in August 2014, averaging 400,000 overnight viewers, with the second series airing in January and February this year
A BBC spokeswoman confirmed that the comedy would not be returning, adding that it was ‘to make way for new forms on content for BBC Three like Fleabag, Witless and Hood Documentary’.
Siblings was written by Keith Akushie and made by Bwark, the production company that also made the Inbetweeners.
Ah bummer. Siblings cancelled. Thanks lots to all of you that tuned in before! big love to @Charitchie sorry we never got to do the kiss ep.
