David Brent gives Doc Brown a promotion
A NEW poster has been released for Ricky Gervais's new David Brent movie, making more of the role played by Doc Brown. The comedian and rapper, who uses his real name Ben Bailey Smith when acting, is now pictured sitting on a trunk containing gig equipment, behind the image of a guitar-wielding Brent that featured in the teaser posters for Life On The Road (inset). The movie is out on August 19.
SHAPPI KHORSANDI has announced an autumn tour. Her new new show, about Britishess, is entitled Oh My Country! From Morris Dancing To Morrissey and will play 26 dates across the UK following its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe. Full schedule here.

A PLANNED London show by right-wing US commentator Bill O'Reilly and comedian Dennis Miller has been cancelled. The pair had been due to bring their political show Who Wants to Be President? to the Hammersmith Apollo on August 5, but the gig has now been pulled.
