Pranksters vs Brexit politicians
BBC Two is to air a one-off satire about the EU referendum from the team behind The Revolution Will Be Televised.
Brexageddon?! is a single half-hour show from Jolyon Rubinstein and Heydon Prowse to air on July 19.
The pair's work on the new show was exposed last month when Prowse pounced on David Blunkett in a failed attempt to make him say something indiscreet about Jeremy Corbyn.
The Mirror accused the prankster of exploiting the Labour peer's blindness, while Blanket called him 'pathetic' and 'very silly'.
Programme-makers Hat Trick say Brexageddon?! features real figures from the referendum coming into contact with the pair's comedy characters, including Tory Vote Leave campaigner James Twottington-Burbage, Ukip member Dennis Pound and Labour politicians Robin (Corbynite) and Penny (Blairite).
And image released by the producers shows Rubinstein sidling up to Boris Johnson with a mocked-up book said to be authored by the politician, entitled Pathological Liar.
Rubinstein has previously posted online videos about the referendum in the guise of his alter-ego Dale Maily.
Brexageddon?! is executive produced by Mark Talbot, produced by Jason Dawson and directed by Errol Ettienne.
