But now Gemma Whelan is hoping to become queen of the chat show as well, by adopting more traditionally regal airs and graces.
The actress – last seen as Kate, servant to David Mitchell's William Shakespeare in Upstart Crow – is to record a Radio 4 talk show pilot in the guise of her upper-class comedy character Chastity Butterworth.
She performed the creation, a pampered upper-class socialite, at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe and on BBC Three's Live At The Electric. And next month she tapes the radio pilot in front of an audience in London.
The show will also star Man Down actor and stand-up Mike Wozniak as her butler, and producers promise 'refreshing drinks and equally refreshing conversation with her very special guests'.
