Doug Anthony All Stars play London
EDINBURGH Fringe legends The Doug Anthony Allstars have announced a week of London dates. The Australian trio of Paul Mcdermott, Tim Ferguson and newer recruit Paul 'Flacco' Livingston will be at the Soho Theatre from August 15 to 20, immediately after their ten-night Edinburgh run – their first in more than 20 years.
STEWART LEE, Susan Calman, Shappi Khorsandi, Alexei Sayle, Sue Perkins, Ruby Wax and Jon Holmes will all be performing sessions at the Edinburgh Book Festival, it has been announced. The festival, held at the same time as the Fringe, has revealed its programme here.
JACK DEE, Jason Manford, Susan Calman and Richard Herring are to take part in another fundraising gig for Bristol's annual Slapstick Festival of classic comedy. The benefit follows a show to boost the coffers held in the city's Colston Hall last night, featuring the likes of Marcus Brigstocke and Jeremy Hardy. The new gig is at the same venue on September 14.
FRANKIE BOYLE has announced a raft of 'work in progress' gigs at London's Leicester Square Theatre in September and October. Click here for tickets.
ROB LOWE will be the next star to be roasted by Comedy Central, although the US broadcaster has not yet revealed which comedians will be piling on the insults at the annual event.
