Festivals announce comedy line-ups
ACTS have been announced for the Balham Comedy Festival in South London, which will run from July 8 to 16. Now in its fifth year, the event can boast Stephen K. Amos, Marcus Brigstocke, Nick Helm, Richard Herring, Reginald D. Hunter, Milton Jones, Shappi Khorsandi, Al Murray The Pub Landlord and Robert Newman among its line-up as well as many circuit favourites and newer acts. Tickets are on sale now.
JASON MANFORD has been announced as the comedy headliner for the Kendal Calling festival in the Lake District on the weekend of July 28 to 31. Music headliners are Rudimental, Madness and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, while Justin Moorhouse, Rob Rouse and Russell Hicks are also playing the Comedy Stage.
STEWART LEE, Bridget Christie, Josie Long And Arthur Smith are among the comics announced for this year's End Of The Road festival in Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire from September 1 to 4. Tickets are now on sale at £195.
SARA PASCOE, Rob Delaney and Jason Byrne have been added to the line-up of the Bristol Comedy Garden, taking place from June 28 to July 3.
OTHER festivals coming soon include the Leeds comedy festival (June 4-11) featuring Milton Jones, Richard Herring, Nick Helm, Stephen K Amos, Phill Jupitus; the Great Yorkshire Fringe in York, featuring 150 events over 18 days from July 15 ; the Henley Festival (July 6-12), a multi-arts event with a strong comedy line-up including Al Murray, Reginald D Hunter and Nina Conti; and the Greenwich Comedy Festival in the National Maritime Museum from July 26 to 31.
