The Now Show goes to war

Special edition about 1916

Radio 4’s topical comedy The Now Show is to air a special edition based around the First World War.

The episode, to be recorded next month, will be part of a BBC season commemorating the events of 1916.

And the BBC vow that its humour will be ‘a good degree more tasteful than the jokes told in the trenches’.

Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis are also making an edition of the long-running programme based on the Brexit referendum.

The Now Show: EU & Yours, will air on the Sunday before polls open on Thursday June 23 – and be recorded on the day of transmission. Regulars Jon Holmes and Mitch Benn will also be making contributions.

Fans of the show can enter a random draw for tickets to be in the audience for the recordings  here.
