Arena dates announced for October

Michael McIntyre is to embark on an arena tour of Australia.

He will be playing Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, the Brisbane Convention Centre and Perth Arena from October 21.

His Comedy Roadshow has been aired on the ABC down under, but when he previously toured there in 2013, reviewers commented that in Australia 'he remains far short of the household name he is in Britain' – which meant most of his audience were expats.

The Happy & Glorious tour, which he is taking to Australia, was seen by 400,000 people in Britain, including 27 performances at London's O2 Arena – more than One Direction and Take That. Here is our review of that show.

Tickets for McIntyre's Australian dates, featuring support from Paul Tonkinson, go on sale at noon local time tomorrow.

He's in Syndey on October 21, Melbourne on the 22nd, Brisbane on the 24th and Perth on the 26th.
