New tour visits remote venues

Seann Walsh is to play some of the most remote venues in Scotland as part of his next tour.

His One For The Road show will play one night in the village hall in the Shetland hamlet of Hillswick, pictured, as well as another night in the islands' capital Lerwick.

There are fewer than 700 people in the district around Hillswick, meaning they could all have visited the Hammersmith Apollo, where Walsh's DVD was recorded, and have five seats each.

He will also play Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides and Stromness in Orkney, Portree on Skye – as well as Wick in the far north of the country, and Ullapool in the Highlands.

The mini-tour takes place in September, after Walsh's Edinburgh Fringe debut of the show, which promises 'charm and idiocy in abundance'.

Walsh is currently crowdfunding for a short film called Roger, in which he stars alongside Game of Thrones' John Bradley.
