Limmy has announced more two live shows. The comic will now be performing at The Lowry, Salford on September 13 and at Hammersmith Apollo on September 16. The dates follow four sell-out shows at Glasgow's SECC Clyde Auditorium in January, and tickets go on sale at 10am tomorrow.

RADIO 4's The Pin has won the comedy award at the annual BBC Radio Awards. The sketch show from Alex Owen and Ben Ashenden, comprising four quarter-hour episodes, won the 'best comedy production or moment' award. The ceremony also gave its gold award to 'everyone who worked in BBC Radio'.

MALAYSIAN stand-up Nigel Ng won the Amused Moose Laugh Off Final at The Hippodrome casino in London last night. KG Tha Comedian was the audience favourite, and was named People's Champion. Read our review here

THE PROGRAMME for this year's Great Yorkshire Fringe has been unveiled today. Richard Herring, Henning Wehn, Showstopper!, Jerry Sadowitz and Sammy J and Randy are among the 150 shows being performed in York from July 15 to August 1. Website.

NEW comedians Tom Gidman, Adam Mastrioanni, Michael Odewale and Morgan Rees are through to the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Award following the first semi-final. The second takes place at the Tattershall Castle on the Embankment in London from 8pm tonight (Tickets), and the final is at the Pleasance, Edinburgh, on August 16.
