Baron Cohen makes the rich list
Sacha Baron Cohen has joined the Sunday Times Rich List.
He and his wife, Isla Fisher, scrape into the list of the 1,000 wealthiest people in the country at No 936.
They share a fortune of £105million, according to the paper;s’s from his films such as Borat and The Brothers Grimsby; and hers including Wedding Crashers, Definitely, Maybe and The Great Gatsby.
The newspaper reports that Baron Cohen’s films have taken more than $3.4billion at the box office, with Borat and Bruno taking nearly $400million alone.
They share billing in the Rich List with Mike Myers, who also has £105million from the likes of Austin Powers and Shrek. Though born in Canada, he qualifies as he holds joint British-American citizenship.
Rowan Atkinson and Tracey Ullman have previously appeared on the list, but not this year.
