Lady Colin turns to stand-up

Making her debut at Edinburgh Fringe

Lady Colin Campbell is to turn her hand to stand-up comedy, starting with a stint at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The acerbic socialite, whose fame rose when she appeared on I'm a Celebrity last year, broke the news in The Sun today.

She said: 'It’s being scripted by professionals. It’s me being myself, so they’re taking my words and plucking it out because I have no idea what people would find interesting.

'Actually I’ve been really surprised that they want me at Edinburgh.'

The timing of her run has quashed rumours she might go into the Celebrity Big Brother house, as that, too, films in August.

Lady Colin also revealed that she will star in her own reality show, The Lady in the Castle, this summer about her aristocratic life at Castle Goring in  Worthing.
