Jim Gaffigan and Miranda Sings to play UK

(But not together)

American comedians Jim Gaffigan and Miranda Sings are to play the UK later this year.

Gaffigan, who last year performed stand-up for Pope Francis during his visit to Philadelphia, is to play one night of his show Fully Dressed at London's Leicester Square Theatre on October 8. (Tickets.)

The comedian recently wrapped the first season of his semi-fictitious The Jim Gaffigan Show for America's TV Land and Comedy Central. And in December, he played Madison Square Garden for the first time, becoming one of only ten comics to have sold out the venue.

Meanwhile internet star Miranda Sings – the self-absorbed wannabe actress/singer/comedian alter-ego of Colleen Evans – has dates lined up in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London and Dublin in August. (Dates).

She is currently filming her forthcoming eight-part Netflix series, Haters Back Off, in Vancouver, which is also expected to launch this summer.

Since 2008, Miranda Sings has amassed more than 6 million YouTube subscribers, who have racked up more than 1 billion views.
