I Live With Models gets a second series

New showrunner drafted in

Comedy Central is to make a second series of I Live With Models.

But the show is been rebooted with a new showrunner, writers and some cast changes.

Mark Reisman, whose previous credits include Frasier, will take over the helm for the second series, and writers Jon Foster and James Lamont, who also scripted The Harry Hill Movie, are no longer involved. Stars David Hoffman and Brianne Howey remain, but casting for three new roles is currently under way.

The comedy, which revolves around Tommy, a chubby, British former barista who gets his big break as a hand model, did not make much impact on its first UK airing last year, and has a slew of one-star reviews on IMDB.

Comments include: 'I cannot begin to explain how bad this show is. It was like watching an amateur play in a church hall, wooden acting, bad writing and not a hint of comedy'; 'quite the worst piece of television that I can ever remember sitting through' and 'I've watched World War Two documentaries with more laughs than this'.

However, the British-made show is screened on Comedy Central around the world, redubbed into languages including German, Spanish and Russian.

Comedy Central executive Lourdes Diaz, promised that the new series, relocated from Miami to New York, will involve 'more character-driven comedy and more relatable, yet hilariously awkward stories'.

Ash Atalla, managing director of producers Roughcut TV said: ' Our talented team will continue their work to turn this show into a long-running international hit for Comedy Central.'
