Press awards for Lloyd, Finnemore and Catastrophe

John Finnemore, John Lloyd and Catastrophe have been honoured at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.

Producer Lloyd, whose career includes Blackadder, Spitting Image and QI was presented with The Harvey Lee award for outstanding contribution to broadcasting.

The accolade is decided by the guild’s executive committee, and also recognised his work with The News Quiz, The News Huddlines, Quote, Unquote, To The Manor Born, Not the Nine O’Clock News and The Museum of Curiosity, which he currently presents on Radio 4.

Other awards are are voted for by journalists who write about TV and radio.

Finnemore  was named Radio Broadcaster of the Year for his sketch show John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme

Catastrophe was voted best comedy and its creators and stars Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan were named best writers.
