Sorry UK, I'm off to Vegas!
Paul Zerdin has cancelled his autumn tour of the UK – after landing a Las Vegas residency.
The comic ventriloquist has signed up for a run at the Planet Hollywood casino in the Nevada resort from April 30, on the back of his success winning America’s Got Talent last year.
And that means UK dates for his show Spongefinger scheduled for September and October have been put on hold. However no rescheduled dates have yet been announced, and ticket-holders have been told to check with venues for more information.
Zerdin said: 'It’s every entertainer’s dream to have their own show on The Las Vegas Strip. I’m thrilled that my dream is coming true, but my characters aren’t giving me a moment’s peace before we join the ranks of other Las Vegas headliners.
'Unfortunately, I have had to reschedule my September and October dates due to this great opportunity that has arisen. Apologies to all who have bought tickets to these dates.'
Zerdin will still be honouring his UK tour dates scheduled for April, including a three-night stint at the Udderbelly in London from April 14.
He previously performed at the Planet Hollywood resort and casino as part of his $1million prize package for winning America's Got Talent.
