NOW SHOW regular Jon Holmes is to be the afternoon DJ on the soon-to-be-launched Talk Radio. He will host the 1pm to 4pm weekday slot when the station starts on March 21. Comic Bob Mills will also host a weekly show from 7pm to 10pm on a Sunday night, and Iain Lee has the 10pm to 1am slot on weeknights. Holmes currently hosts the weekend breakfast show on Radio X, too.

ADULT US comedy You're The Worst, about a relationship between a self-involved writer and Gretchen a self-destructive PR executive, is coming to the UK. The show, which airs on FX stateside, has been snapped up by 5Star, which will air it from April. It stars British actor Chris Geere, who formerly appeared in Waterloo Road.

THE body that runs the Edinburgh Fringe is to receive an extra £560,000 funding from the Scottish Government. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society received the money from the so-called Expo Fund to help boost the estimated £261million that all the city's festivals contribute to Scotland's economy every year.

AMERICA's ABC network has renewed a slew of comedies, including Modern Family. The sitcom, shown on Sky in the UK, gets an eighth series, while The Goldbergs (E4) gets a fourth and The Middle (Comedy Central) gets an eighth. Immigrant comedy Fresh Off the Boat, not screened in the UK, has been commissioned for a third series.

Steve Coogan is to be the first guest on John Bishop's new chat show for the W channel. His episode will be recorded in London on Wednesday afternoon,and free tickets are available here.
