Another BBC series for Patrick Kielty

Chat show based on guest's internet history

Patrick Kielty is to host a new chat show for  BBC Northern Ireland.

The broadcaster has ordered Delete Delete Delete, in which celebrity guests talk about the contents of their internet history: weird websites, most watched virals, odd blogs and questions out into search engines.

News of the commission comes the week after Kielty’s new series, Bad Language, launches in the province. Adapted from a radio show of the same name, this show challenges comics on who has the best grasp of their native tongue.

Susan Lovell, who commissioned Delete Delete Delete for the BBC, said: ‘BBC Northern Ireland has a strong history and continued commitment to nurturing local comedy talent and is always looking to develop new comedy formats.

‘We are delighted to welcome Patrick Kielty, who is undoubtedly one of our biggest successes, back to his comedy roots in Belfast for this exciting new chat show.’

Taped in Belfast, the format was co-created by Ali Crockett, David Scott and Roughcut Television, the production company behind the BBC Three sitcoms People Just Do Nothing and Cuckoo.

The series producer is Matt White, and executive producers are Ash Atalla, Neil Calow and Justin Binding.
