Singer takes cameo in Gervais's movie
Peter Andre is to appear in The Office spin-off movie, Life On The Road.
The plot involves Ricky Gervais's David Brent character trying to launch a career as a pop star, with Andre having a 'small cameo' as himself.
The Mysterious Girl singer posted a picture of himself with Gervais yesterday, just a few hours after he was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing.
Andre wrote to his 178,000 Instagram followers: 'On set with @rickygervais #brentsback. Great first day back post strictly. P.s thanks to everybody for their awesome support.'
A source told the Daily Mirror: 'Peter loved Strictly but it has been a lot of pressure and it has taken it's toll. Having a part in Ricky Gervais's new film has come at the perfect time.
'It's his first part in a film, it's given him a chance to have a go at acting.'
The film will also star Doc Brown, who recorded the Equality Street song with Gervais's character for Comic Relief, while Coldplay's Chris Martin has provided music for the soundtrack.
Life On The Road is set for released on August 19 next year.
