Comic rips off Louis CK

A tight 5: November 10

EGYPTIAN comedian Mohamed Sobhi has been exposed for ripping off Louis CK. The comic made a trailer for his stand-up special for satellite broadcaster CBC that is virtually a shot-by-shot, joke-by-joke version of the promo for CK's 2013 HBO special Oh My God. This video has been going around Egyptian social media to highlight the similarities:

MICHAEL McINTYRE is to return to BBC One for another Christmas special, to be be recorded in front of a live audience at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and featuring musical guests as well as his own stand-up.

NEWCOMER Rob Mulholland won the Beat The Frog 'world series' final at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester last night, the annual showcase of acts who have won the gong-show talent night. Tayo Cousins took the panel prize, award by a panel of industry judges.

A BIOPIC about the Original Kings Of Comedy – the live show and subsequent touring film that made stars of black comics Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer and the late Bernie Mac – is in the works, according to US comedy website Laughspin – although other details are scant.

Dapper Laughs is to perform in Australia. The comic will play Sydney's Factory Theatre next month. He's billed as 'the UK's most controversial comedian' – wit audiences told to expect a 'smart' show.
