TINA FEY and the rest of the team behind Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are to make a new sitcom for America’s CBS network. The untitled show is about an odd athlete who drives family, friends and strangers mad after he retires, according to Hollywood industry website Deadline. Fey, writer Jack Burditt, and fellow Kimmy Schmidt executive Robert Carlock will executive produce the new comedy.

BRIDGET CHRISTIE has been named ‘one of the ten game-changers who have shaped 2015’ by Marie Claire’s Women At The Top Awards.

JACK WHITEHALL is to receive a boost to his US profile by hosting the Bafta LA Awards. Recipients will include Amy Schumer, James Corden and Harrison Ford, receiving the Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment gong just as the new Star Wars film comes out. The ceremony will take place on October 30 and air on the Pop network

THE second series of Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan's Channel 4 comedy Catastrophe will air from October 27, it has been revealed.

ROMESH RANGANATHAN, Sharon Horgan and musical comedian Vikki Stone have won h.Club 100 awards, run by London private members’ hangout The Hospital Club and which names the 100 most innovative and inspiring people across the creative industries.
