History repeats itself...
Radio 4 has commissioned a second series of Frank Skinner's panel show The Rest is History.
Five new recording dates have been announced in June and July.
The first series aired from December last year and features guests including David Baddiel, Victoria Coren Mitchell and Dave Gorman. No guests have yet been announced for series two.
Skinner devised the format for the show as well as hosting it. The premise is that he loves history but doesn't know much, so the panel – and his historian-in-residence Kate Wiliams – guide him through the 'funniest, oddest, and most interesting moments' from the past.
One of the producers of the show is historian Justin Pollard, who has been the historical advisor for productions including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Tudors and Vikings. The other producer, for Avalon Television, is Mark Augustyn, of BBC 5 Live's 7 Day Sunday.
